Guest Trevor Posted January 12, 2005 Report Posted January 12, 2005 Hi, When I got My Galaxy a few months ago that was the only thing that was putting me off were the interior door handles, so I asked them to change them as part of the deal, which they did I cant see them costing too much otherwise they would not have done it. Ivor_E_Tower Posted January 12, 2005 Report Posted January 12, 2005 Try a VW dealer; the parts must be available separately from somewhere! Quote

Guest rusty Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 Hi There, I have a mk2, and the covering paint ws worn off my grab handles as well when I bought it. I only paid around Quote
Guest ratherhaveanewone Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 I replaced the two front 'gradrails' on a mark2 - buying the bits from ford and it was way short of a tenner, dead easy to fit. They come in two sections the main section and the actual handle you don't really need the handle I just stripped off the rubberised coating from the handle and they look fine - ford parts bloke says its a common problem. pacificgreen Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 Yes I've heard that they are prone to the paint wearing off. When I bought mine they replaced all of them as part of the deal. Not sure if the MK1 is the same or as easy. :) Ed Quote
